Top five cancer hospitals in the United States of America

There are dozens of cancer treatment hospitals in the United States, specializing in treating many forms of cancer. The best cancer treatment hospitals are ranked annually by US News and World Report, based on patient death rates, hospital reputation, and patient safety along with other medical factors such as nursing staff and technologies that are offered at the hospital. These and other hospitals collaborate with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), which coordinates the U.S. National Cancer Program and conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other activities related to the causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer; the supportive care of cancer patients and their families; and cancer survivorship.

The NCI has set up a network of 12 Physical Sciences-Oncology Centers (PS-OCs) linking the physical sciences to the study of cancer.
